So I have a holden rodeo that has a injected 304 with the old Delco 808 ECU and I normally only do LS based stuff so I have a few questions.

How do I connect my scan tool to it I have a launch pad v that has tech 1 but it tells me to use the gm 6 pin adaptor I don't have and can't find any real info for. I found the diagnostic 6 pin plug any body know how to connect obd2 16 pin to it. Searching it looks like it obd2 pin 9 (kwp2000) to aldl data pin in the diagnostic 6pin plug.

Here is what I'm working with

pin 9 on the obd2 port is aldl, but vn/vp doesnt do 8192 baud aldl, nor have that plug. Most people are referring to 8192 when they say ALDL. VN/VP has 160 baud aldl which is very slow and does not have much data. See https://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/aldl160/aldl_sw.htm Also that 'U2' chip that is missing, is the comms chip. When we do it we put our version of the operating system on there, based on a later model with 8192 baud aldl, and install hardware to replace the missing u2 chip.
For this one you'll want to read the memcal chip in a chip programmer and identify what it is. if your lucky it'll be our free code called OSE12P, then you can install our ecm comms and use tunerpro. Otherwise you'll need to edit it directly and rewrite the chip. Best path depends what you want to do with it. For more information read the guides in the FAQ area (link up near the top right).
