My fault, I told him to start his own thread.
I didn't put 2 and 2 together and realize this is his own thread.

From what I've gathered already is it's a 2003 Silverado with a 6.0 and a 4L60 ... I don't have a 6.0 4L60 file of Os 12587603, just a 5.3 4L60, I don't do segment swaps, don't know enough about it.

Here is a 2004 Silverado with the 4L60E and OSID 12587603. Its the 5.3 engine, but you could use the trans segments with your 6.0 tune on the same OS. It gets risky when swapping segments between different operating systems. Some operating systems are close enough that it works, others not. But if they're the same OS its defiantly safe.

Another option is this Hummer H2 with 6.0 and 4L60E.

Not sure how many other things would need to be changed in the tune. Probably need to look at them side by side.

Is there even a 6.0 used with Os 12587603. I've never seen one.

Doesn't the Hummer use a 4L65E ... I don't think it uses a 4L60E, I don't have any entries for one in my db at least. All I have is 4.3L, 4.8L and 5.3L using the 4L60E.

Anyone know what the sensory differences are between the 5.3 and 6.0 ??
Knock would be my first worry, Trigger wheels being my second, most of the rest can be swapped I think.

I know people have done this, just getting them to talk is the hard part ...

Oh yea, is it currently drive by wire or cable ??

So many things I do not know about this crap!

Where are the 5.3 -> 6.0 Swap guru's at ??

According to efilive the above Hummer bin is 4L60E. I just got the file from the net though.
Either between the original bin, and 2 examples with supposedly 4L60E and one with the 6.0. So all the pieces should be there to compare and verify. Not sure if there is an easy way to do that between OS or if it has to be manual.

The original bin isn't posted yet, though? It'd be this one?

6.0 trucks were RPO M32 which is a 4L65E. Some of the older ones (2001 ish) called it a 4L60E-HD, but that's just an early name for 4L65E. RPO M30 is 4L60E.

If my notes are right, the only real differences between the two are a 5 pinion rear planetary on the 65, and a couple of hardened internal parts. They're externally and electrically identical. The tune differences would come down to the behavior they wanted for the vehicle it was installed in rather than anything specific to the trans itself.

As far as the engines go, I can't help there.

I think he has been over whelmed with information and doesn't know what to do, and doesn't want to soft brick another PCM.

I'm going to either let him come to me in PM again, or back off of it here ...

I'm not a tuner though, he would be better off with a tuner, someone that has done a 5.3 -> 6.0 swap in their Silverado.

Good info Gatecrasher!

It looks like you sent the log, not the bin.

I believe 6.0 trucks had the 4l80 unless it was Escalade or SS.

Well, the Trans type is news to me as ALL of the 6.0L trucks that I have seen had the 4L80E.
