VP 5lt 5speed in HQ Holden , idle issues

Post by Outlaw327 »

Hi , looking for suggestions on any one who can check or reprogram my VP 5lt set up in my HQ , it runs fine and idles on startup with no problem , it’s only intermittently stalling out when coming to a stop , seems the speed sensor is not catching up 20% of the time : are there any tuners in the Canberra area that know how to deal with these computers ?

Usually its a failed speed sensor. Do you have any error codes from it? If that's the case, you don't need a tune, you need to fix the hardware so it functions as intended.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

Thanks for your suggestions the speed sensor came from Mal Wood , was brand new when installed and only a few years old now , guess I may as well upgrade , I’ve changed everything else ,
