Buying new sst chips or alternatives

Hey just wondering where people are getting their chips from these days? I've tried ebay and they either never show up or come back as out of stock. Ive finally used all the ones I had from over 10 years ago and I guess need to find something to replace them with. Anyone got a aus supplier that has stock of something suitable?

If your talking SST 27SF512 I have used Winbond W27C512-45Z as a replacement and no issues.

I'd recommend always using genuine suppliers, mouser, rs, digikey, arrow etc. If they're obsolete or a shortage, I use chinese IC suppliers (lcsc, or smaller companies who specialise in obsolete IC's like tiankeelec. Or any verified HKIN member - just use paypal G&S if it's your first transaction for some level of protection). Avoid aliexpress if you can, they're cheap but they're mostly recycled parts or re-branded and the dispute system is really not in the customers favor there.
