First time poster here, I have done a manual conversion on my 2003 VY Calais 3.8L which came with a manual ecu. I have had this issue for the longest time where when I clutch in while driving the revs will jump up.

I was doing some reading and have heard that this can be because IAC parameters are different from auto to manual and it’s got me thinking that the ecu that’s in my car now is actually just an auto ecu with the manual flags checked.

I was wondering if I could upload my .bin file and either have someone look over it or if someone could point me in the direction of a factory manual vy bin file that I can flash into it.

I am still trying to understand everything so if what I have said sounds completely wrong, please correct me

Is it NA or supercharged?

The auto and manual PCM in the NA VY's are the same just a different bin file.

You could likely reinstall your original PCM and just flash it with a manual cal file and it should be ok from my understanding. Vats should even be able to be left on.

Problem is likely due to not being a full manual tune, auto and manual have different throttle follower tables and as far as I know they aren't defined in any XDF for VX / VY.

A lot of people when making "manual" calibrations just tick the manual flags and call it done, there are a lot more differences.

If it's a flash ecu can literally just flash a whole manual bin on to it (or a calibration only if you can find one to suit), if you flash the whole bin you'll need to remove vats or link the ecu.
