Command Gear & TCC Lock Editing

Hey guys,

Can someone please give me a run through of how I can edit the ADX and add in a "Command 3rd Gear With TCC Locked" & "Clear All Macro" functions.
I am getting quite a few auto vehicles through the shop for tunes in the near future and without being able to command 3rd and lock the converter it is a constant battle to get a decent power run out of it and makes it difficult to have good datalogs to tune from.

I currently have 1 that works for the VY L67 Enhanced file that Chr0m3 helped me out with but am needing it for basically the rest of them all in enhanced.
VS, VS L67, VT, VT L67, VT V8, VX N/A, VX L67, VY N/A.

Any help will be very much appreciated.
I am happy to pay for someones time even if they can get it all edited for and then sent to me.

Cheers,

Maybe a silly question but have you tried editing the ADX in tunerpro and makeing note of the commands, then editing the ones you want them in and adding them? Do they not work across models, or is that you dont know how to add them?

There is no trans controller, its in the PCM, so you might need to update the first byte of the ALDL to send it to PCMs that are talking on different IDs, but without looking I reckon the commands will be the same as even though proprietary this stuff is mostly standardised.

<target device id of PCM> <length byte (copy it)> <04 for mode 04> <submode> XX XX XX XX ... <checksum calculated by tunerpro>

As antus just said and as I said to you, it should be the same (I can't speak for VS) you should just need to copy and paste the command but change PCM ID's, F5 for VT - VY L67 / VT N/A, F7 for VX / VY N/A. If I get some time I was going to edit most XDF's and define the low mode shift points (so they hold gears) and release some modified XDF's.

I could add this in too but I'd need it tested to be sure before it's released obviously.

I'm sure there's a thread I created for this same reason years ago(but I wanted tcc unlocked to save it doing damage there), but anyway here's the notes I have...

$11p=0xF4 0x62 0x04 0x81 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x25
VT=0xF5 0x58 0x04 0x81 0x00 & 2E for 2's compliment
VX-VY Flash=0xF7 0x58 0x04 0x81 0x00 with 2's compliment (should be 2C)

I could have more that I have edited but thats all I had in my notes.

just put a tune in that puts the downshift from 3-2 at 40kph for the entire map. then put 3-4 shift at a speed u wont hit.

I tried that, it didn't play ball in a VY V6 Flash Based ecu.
Flared on the converter and still shifted down a gear.

I’ve always found sending commands & them after finishing send clear all to be so much neater than adding to tune changes… but whatever works is best!
