11p dyno power runs: How to hold 1:1 ratio 3rd gear in 4L60E?

I have my car in a dyno shop who are new to tunerpro but they have been nice enough to take on the job and learn the ropes.
They want me to come into the shop and help them tune the power run and told me they need 1:1 ratio for dyno to crank rpm which is 3rd gear in my 4l60e.
Should I place the gear selector in 3rd gear?
and is it as simple as sending "Mode 4 - Solenoid A and B off"? Or do I need to dummy fill out the upshift and downshift tables with very low kph numbers to force it into 3rd gear? My Setup:
424 running 11p with realtime tuning nvram.
Turbocharged GT35 Holden 304 V8 and 4L60E
Any tips on what to do will be greatly appreciated.
