I’ve tried following along with the guide but it goes over my head just need someone to help explain this in basic terms I’m confident in the tuning side I’ve tuned my own haltech just struggling to get started. I’ve got to the point where I need to add an Xdf and a bin. Where do I add them from and how?

The first option under File is Open Bin
The first option under XDF is Select XDF
And the first option under Acquisition (as in data acquisition aka logging) is Load a definition file. That is your ADX.
Bin, XDFs and ADXs for different factory engines, fuel types and MAP sensors are in the ose 12p zip download.

download the zip. open the zip. copy paste or drag and drop files out of the zip. then the menu items above, from wherever you put them on your computer.

Ok so download a tune suitable to my engine makes sense I’ve actually done this prior to getting this setup to see if I’m comfortable with it. But then how does that then relate to the nvram? I will look further into the guide but seem to be getting lost easy

the bin file is the data that goes on the nvram. includes operating system and calibration. you have one on there by default, but you need a starting point in tunerpro that matches it. there are different ways to start but if you dont have a bin loaded all the tables look blank. and if you load it with download in tuner pro it throws an error everytime you make a change because it tries to log to a log file but doesnt have a filename. so download then save as or load the v8 bin if its a v8 then save as to a new filename before you start tuning gets you ready.

The nvram will come preprogrammed if it's for vn it will be running ose$12p .search on here for the custom ose$12p post and download the zip folder. Unzip it and it will have your bin file xdf and adx in the zip

Ok that’s some good info thank you very much. So you’d download a tune adjust that then up load it to the nvram? Or is it download the bin to match the Xdf uploaded onto the nvram.
