Is the 808 vn ecu similar to VR 082 manual ecu with just the bus speed differences?
Im helping a mate with his VR ute rallycar, he wants a spare ecu to chuck in incase his gets wet, he can get a vn 808 easily so if i put a bigger chip in the memcal and put a vr man tune on it would it work with the 808 and just plug up and work?
Im guessing i would have to disable vats? as the 808 wouldn't work with a bcm.
It would only be as temporary in emergency to keep it going, i just thought of it as vr man ecu is very hard to find.

Yes on all accounts. Although you can also buy VL400s SXR emulator board and solder it in to an 808 then you will get the 1 wire aldl bus and BCM comms.

Re: VN ecu into VR Manual V6
use $12p tune in it and use the vats on that
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
