For sure. I just didnt realise that a piece of wire could have 12v, down to 5v the click back to life. Im still a little optimistic but we'll see. I seem to think its was the ususal thing with cars. A combination of 2 different things lol.

Auto elec had a look at it today, i told him all my symptoms, he took a look at the re-wire the last one did and immediatley said thats what my problem was. The cabling was too small and i was getting voltage drop. He re-wired all the positives and negatives and it worked like a charm. Starts like a...

Maybe but that doesnt explain why it starts fine when warm after only being shut down for a few seconds. After a few minutes then its slow to crank.

Well i went right through it today, tracked down where all the earths went and all were tight and clean. Everything else is tight and clean too. Fuse box seems fine. I noticed today when i was mucking around that when the car is hot its slow to crank. I started it, let it idle for a while, turned it...

All the terminals are fine, power to the fusebox is fine. Its slow to kick when warm but thats typical of the 5L starter as it gets hot on the manifold. The charge is ok when cool at 14v but when hot and all power running like lights and a/c it can go down to 13v maybe even 12.5v. Bad design there a...
