Re: VT Commodore Power Problem
slow cranking to me sounds like the battery wire to the starter motor is dodgy or the battery terminal itself.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Maybe but that doesnt explain why it starts fine when warm after only being shut down for a few seconds. After a few minutes then its slow to crank.

Re: VT Commodore Power Problem
Auto elec had a look at it today, i told him all my symptoms, he took a look at the re-wire the last one did and immediatley said thats what my problem was. The cabling was too small and i was getting voltage drop.
He re-wired all the positives and negatives and it worked like a charm. Starts like a little 4cyl now lol.

Re: VT Commodore Power Problem
For sure. I just didnt realise that a piece of wire could have 12v, down to 5v the click back to life. Im still a little optimistic but we'll see. I seem to think its was the ususal thing with cars. A combination of 2 different things lol.
