Progress.... we found 2 hydraulic lifters jammed down and had no pre load.
engine is now idling pretty good and revs up OK.

Now comes the fun and games with the to see if we can tune it right.

Hi guy's been getting grey hairs over this. Now got the engine out of car and onto an engine dyno.(easier to work on). One of the extrators was red hot so meant that the injector was stuffed. replaced all injectors with standard blue tops. Won't idle, had it running upto 5000rpm on the dyno. Shite H...

OK wired in the manual ECU, dumped bwfw on the 29c256 and still no start.
I get fuel pump as normal but not firing.

Put in an asbx original chip and she fires up ok.

Wondering if i still have a VATS issue ??

yeap i am putting in the manual ECU.

So let me get this straight: i put in manual ECU + dump bwfw code downloaded from here and i should be up and running with a BCM ?

Also another question, do i need a max232 circuit or the transistor buffer to hook efilive to this ECU ?

I think that bin is bwfu....

i have a at29c256 chip. can i use that for the bwfw ecu ?? or do i need a 512 chip ?

i'll rewire the harness for the manaul ECU. this is the bin from it i think...
how can i tell if that is te correct bin for it.

Thanks guy's, This is for a conversion into Torana hatchback so I guess a factory BIN is not mandatory. Cabling is bare as one can get it, so that is why i am trying with out VATS. I am really trying to take advantage of the sequential injection in the VS version. I'll try again and see how it goes....

Done heaps of searching and cannot find the answer. I need to disable VATS in BWFW0312 code.
I have used the $83 xdf and cannot see anywhere that even looks like *VATS*.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.
