Well its been a while and ALOT has happened! so after i built the new motor, i put it on the dyno to confirm oil pressure and sadly it still had the same issue, i had more pressure but it still dropped off at high revs. we played around with different oil pumps and shims in the pressure side etc and...

while that might be the right thing to do, it sounds like alot of work

the main issue is it was really rich at first (almost flooding) and i didnt have a radiator in it so it never got to warm up and evaporate it the first time!

run it hot for long enough and the oil goes back to looking like new!

Well its taken far too long to get to this point but we are on the home stretch! Finally got some colour on the car and shes looking fantastic! FX1.jpg Claire has been keen to get the car back home (after painting) and she was keen to help me put the engine together! FX2.jpg engine is in and running...

is actual Engine TDC the mark to the right of the 300 ? if it is that should be pretty close with the longer slots you have!

you should be able to crank the engine over with no plugs installed and a timing light on it and see where the static timing is before you even try to fire it .....
