Hi guys
Is this what I'd be needing for burning the flash chip?
Cheers

Hi guys, sorry for far in-between posts. Got a bit going in.
Apart from the GQ 4x4 programmer from dark wire, what else do I need from him?
Id like to copy from the flash chip memcal to another, so I can try altering the tune.
What do I need to copy from the factory memcal to another chip, if I wanted to alter the tune that way?
Where do you guys grab your memcal blanc chips from?
Cheers
Pete

I'd forget about the factory chip and get 512k bit (64 k Byte) eeproms and use 12P, 12P is already based on the VR v6 assuming that's what you are working on.
Not sure if Nigel has any left, but he did a bulk buy years ago of genuine SST 512 eeproms.

You also need an adapter to connect your memcal to the reader.
Re: VR V6 Memcal Bin Grabbed - How to read
I'm thinking of getting 1 or 2 sst512 eeprom(s) along with the adaptor(s). Now if I grab the sst512, using the gq 4x4 programmer, can I copy from flash chip to sst512? Or do I have to Bin stack, some how, in tunerpro
Re: VR V6 Memcal Bin Grabbed - How to read
Use the flash tool to get the bin, then burn it to the eeprom at an offset of 8000 in the program for the gq 4x4. No stacking required.
