Wanting to upgrade my VR with a VT roller engine and need to know is the manual trans engine the same as the auto.

In the VT, yes. See https://pcmhacking.net/memcals.html
When you get to the VT section you'll see auto and manual listed against the same pcm types.

Sorry I may have not made myself clear. It's the mechanical bolt in info. I know the VN V6 had different engines for manual and auto but I am hoping to buy a VT V8 roller cam engine and it's a manual and need to know if it will bolt up to my VR V8 auto box.

Yep, swap your flex plate and bolts and in she goes.
