If you have a Kalmaker SP2 or SP3 RT ECU you can use TunerPro to edit it yourself using the XDF here .. http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5
The flashtool can read and write it.
If its an EPROM will need to read it in a programmer, edit it in TunerPro, erase and then reburn the memcal.

It is a memcal only.VL400 wrote:If you have a Kalmaker SP2 or SP3 RT ECU you can use TunerPro to edit it yourself using the XDF here .. http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5

So reading the above Kalmaker doesn't have a security feature locking the memcal?
Reason I ask is spoke to a tuner and he claims he needs to retune car from scratch due to the security PAL???
$1200 later for just a limiter change......
Thanks

You can make changes without a full retune.Vpgts076 wrote:Reason I ask is spoke to a tuner and he claims he needs to retune car from scratch due to the security PAL???

yeah, you can read/write/edit them, the security chip just needs to be present for the engine to start. I can do it for you if you can post me the memcal. I'll send you a pm.
