Re: My Delcoed Rides
We dont even run a surge tank and dont have any issues, based on that I reckon a rear mounted tank will be fine. Have got no fuel pressure data to prove it though

I think you'll be right with the pump in the rear of the car. What efi pump are you using? If you have an 044 Bosch style pump,it will handle enough alky for you 202.

Re: My Delcoed Rides
VL400: yeah but you do have WB logs to prove its not leaning out !! so even if it is stressing the pump its within its ability!
yeah thats what i got at the moment, and i do have a fuel pressure monitor i one of the inputs so i can log and see if its dropping off at all.
i think i will leave all the surge tank and stuff in the car as its already all purchased and setup etc so may aswell leave it.

Re: My Delcoed Rides
hehe you are forgetting that the pump is capable of 80+ psi easliy, and in the end, its the fuel reg at the end of your rail that determines the pressure. so based on that, you wont see any drop in pressure as a reult of g forces as the pump is more than capable of delivering the amount of fuel required for the reg to keep the pressure up.

Re: My Delcoed Rides
car went great, nothing broke and marie only just hit a tree and "skuffed" the paint near the headlight, all in all very happy with that!
i have an in car video and logs of one of my runs but for the time being need to wash the dust from my throat with some amber ales and going out for dinner, i'll post some more later tonight or tomorrow!

Re: My Delcoed Rides
well this is pretty typical of the logs
so top monitor:
red = rpm
blue = coolant - approx 97 degrees
green = map - where it straight lines near 5000rpm is 100kpa
bottom monitor:
red = wideband
green = target AFR
blue = injector duty cycle
looks like i need to lean the mixture out a bit but the wideband roughly follows the target so thats the main thing!

Re: My Delcoed Rides
Haven't had a chance to look at the video, but the picture and the logs look good.
Looks like you still have a lot of headroom with the injectors if duty cycle is only getting to 36, may need a hairdryer to help
The AFR plots look great, definitely following your target trends well, so must be dialled in very close.
