VS-VY Delco MAF Table Info

Post by yoda69 »

OK guys, here's my first cut at some MAF Info that should make alterations to the MAF tables a little easier.
This workbook has 3 sheets:
1. Basic changes required to the MAF tables based off a known MAF Table.
You will be able to copy a complete table from the XDF (if set up correctly) to the spreadsheet, make changes, then copy it back. In the VT V6 $A5F/K V1.8+ xdf it is called "MAF Complete Offset, Divider and Tables."
Have also added in the "Minimum MAF Frequency (Hz)", this is the starting frequency of tyhe first value in the first table, the next value is 128Hz more. The last value of Table 1 is the first value of Table 2 and so on through to the end of Table 8.
2. Plot of complete MAF curve before and after changes.
3. 3 Standard MAF tables. V6, V8 5.0 Litre and HSV 5.7 Litre (Not LS1).

The Spreadsheet is not idiot proof, you can break it by entering stupid values, the main thing at this stage is to get some idea of whether this is a useful tool or not.
Any feedback (positive or negative) would be appreciated, as well as any additions that would be useful.

Thanks,

go and download the microsoft office 2007 compatability pack, will allow you to open 2007 stuff in the 2003 version.

I found complete MAF tables in a Kalmaker diff file labelled 85MM, is that LS1 size? I copied kalmakers 74mm settings into a stock bin, the 85mm should work too.

Thanks for the info.
When I get a chance I'll try do a base conversion to get people started, although it will require tweaking for different engines/intake ducting designs, etc.
As discussed in other posts, the main limitations of the MAF based calibrations is the 1000mgc limit rather than outright airflow.
