ah, ok, thats what i was getting at, so you would think that it is VATS tahts stopping me, as the engine and ecu came out of a running car. And i have not let the smoke out yet. So am thinking that its still VATS which is ok. hopefully will get it sorted out soon..

Yoda, thanks for that. Im running the standard VS ECU that was in the statesman it came out of. As far as identifying it further, what numbers do u need off it?

Re: VS V6 Supercharged Into Suzuki Sierra
generally you can identify it from the pcm service numbers and any codes on the memcal ... the BTBP seems to have the memcal side answered.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

I think you should verify that the PCM is powering up next, looking by the diagram, it looks like you should have permanent power to A8 and B8 (both Red/Black trace), and ignition switched power to A4 (pink/Black trace) and E9 (pink)
then see if you can log it with an aldl cable with the ignition on to verify the pcm is booted.

Re: VS V6 Supercharged Into Suzuki Sierra
VS still has a pcm controlled CEL but if its not wired can just ground the diag line and see if the engine cooling fan comes on - will also need to sort out the high and low speed fan issue of having no BCM once its running.

Re: VS V6 Supercharged Into Suzuki Sierra
Ok, My wilem programmer arrived today, but due to family stuff, have not had time to play. At least Iwont have to keep going to the office to burn. So, I checked the power to the emc, its all ok. I will hook up a CEL next. I have read about the two speed fan issue, Once I get to that, I will only need the one speed as this little thing needs all the cooling it can get...
