Auto 1-2-3 Shift Change to Manual $51E

Is there settings for the VSV6 for Manual Shift 1-2-3 so i can stop it change down or up and just stay in selected gear, i thought it might have been Low Mode Speed thresholds but didn't change anything, does it just go off the normal shift speed tables or something?

you need to change the following:

Low Mode 1-2 Upshift Speed Threshold = 205.19km
Low Mode 2-1 Downshift Speed Threshold = 205.19km

same can be done with the 2-3 up and down shifts if you desire

This will make it bounce on the limiter until you click the next gear! oh and downshift will go in at any speed so be careful of that one !!

thanks for that, so i guess the safe option then is set the upshifts to 205 and leave the downshift's as is for safety.

well i changed all of mine, but also i have a B & M Mega shifter and it has ratchet mechanism for down and up the gears so its virtually impossible to put it back too many gears un-intentionally.

There's no way to actually stop the auto shifting though is there? like if your in manual 2nd it'l still shift back to 1st and back up the 2nd rather than just stall when it gets to low. You'd actually need to do a full manual conversion then yeh? i have read about that once before.

I did it in a VR auto bin... from memory, I got rid of the 1st gear auto shift, then turned off the kickback altogether, then for performance mode changed the shift points so it would never ever shift up even at part throttle and it would never shift down when you lifted the throttle and slowed down. end result = performance mode was 100% manualised having never touched anyhting other than the memcal, and normal mode was somewhat normal, except for the lack of kickback when you stab it.

ive got a few mates hassling me for something similar on ecotec, but in reality it wouldnt have been possible for me to do on vr if it werent for vl400's 100% defined VR $11 xdf. ive been waiting for more auto stuff to be defined for $51 before I attempted it.

I dont even remember what I was missing now. I remember the kickback stuff was different so I couldnt just go copy exactly what I did for VR. in the next few days ill take a stab at doing it and let U know if theres some unknown thats holding it up
