Auto Force motor pressure questions 4L60E

Post by VSteve »

I was just wondering if I kept the force motor pressure at zero until say 12.5 or 18.75 % TPS. How bad would that be for the trans? The Idea is to have a hi stall like effect and allow the engine to get into its power band much sooner. Could this work or will I be picking my trans up off the side of the road with a wheel barrow?

wont help you mate... the stall is all to do with the torque converter, and the force motor pressure is to do with internal pressures inside the box that move the servos to push the clutches around. it affects shifting firmness and shifting speed, not the speed the car starts to move at off the line.
