From bits ive read on here you can use a 531 pcm auto (VT 304) on a manual car as its all in the calibration on memcal? And do you need to introduce new pcm to bcm? Trying to find a manual replacement but all i can find are auto pcm's. Thanks in advance.
#I'm guessing it was harder questions than i thought.

Re: Just need quick clarification
Or maybe nobody is exactly that familiar enough with the VT PCMs by service number to feel confident in giving an absolute 100% answer. Im pretty sure all VT PCMs are interchangeable, but dont hold it against me if there is an edge case that I missed. I think auto/manual pcm differences etc were VS PCMs. And the RFI/Standard PCMs are interchangeable from the same car model too, electrically and pin for pin but the keyways are different so you need to cut the keys off so you can fit the plug if you try that one. I think thats because the RFI PCM has metal keyways so they can be grounded and block the Radio Frequency Interfearance (RFI), but since very few civilians are running 100watt transmitting radios in their cars thats a non issue if your just exchanging a part.

Thanks Antus. I think i will send PCM off to a repairer just to be safe. They are advertising they can at least clone one without the need of a Tech2 etc

For confirmation on what ecu's can/can't be used always refer to The1's memcal tool as it gives the controller info too!
