Some one has been messing with the ignition wires, the magic purple wire that was mentioned
that was right on the nail! and the solenoid click on accessories

Do me one thing, when this relay and stuff is removed can you get 12v say from the big uncut red wire in the ign plug and use a bit of wire jump it to the purple bit in the main loom side? This should cause the starter to engage providing the rest of the loom is still ok.

The other loom I can copy better pictures of plug and solenoid So from what your saying and looking at the other loom the solenoid did not exist original right?

Soldered the wires back to original but still no starter
re soldered wires I had a look around at the wiring and found this plug, it has pink wires similar to pink ignition wire. but I'm pretty sure it had nothing plugged into it on the part car.
