Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
yeah the main bearing looks pretty average!
i didn't know v6's had rope seals in them, whats the go is that series 1 motor or what ?
all the ones i've dealt with have the rubber full circle seal!

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
good old series 1 vn engine rope seal as but not any more
this new neoprene seal looks like part of the terminator LOL new bearings on order on monday might start using some real oil instead of the $14 4L gulf western weve been using looks a bit like oil film issues on the bearings still idled at 50psi hot oil pressure
http://catalog.mahleclevite.com/bearing/ good wesite for bearing condition analysis

Re: DELCOS NEW RIDE
They're still a good quality bearing, the surface is a bit softer so not as hard on the journals good for high milage stock usage - get your hands on a filter cutter and frequently drain and inspect the element to guage how they're taking the pounding being thrown at them and you might get to replace them again if need be before it blows itself to bits - les drama and cheaper to replace a set of shells.
Pics and part number of seal please, theres a shitload of drag with a good dogturd seal and every bit helps when your restricted in your mods, probably worth 1/2 a horse or so - or 2 1/2 kilos out of the car
