NM27C010 Blank Checking

Post by VX L67 Getrag »

Howdy all,
I'm trying to flash a stock VS memcal, it's never been erased or flashed to before(was CJKU1912) normal these blank in 15 mins this particular 1 is being stubborn!

I don't normally like to leave them too long under the U.V. as it will diminish it's life but after first 15 mins got EF at $74FA, gave it another 5 mins & same reading at same point, so then gave it 10 mins more & same at same, then gave another 15 mins & got passed that & got to $95F9 & got EF again & tried for another 2 lots of 10 mins & still getting same reading!

Is this normal for some memcals or does it mean it's not very stable?

I'd check before & everyone said not to use the fairchild type for factory memcal!

I eventually get it to blank it took a bit over an hour in total with 7 tries in between!

Thanks!

ive had similar problems with VS memcals, there always seems to be one stubborn byte... sometimes, I just give up and burn it, usually the new tune doesnt have the bit changed anyways lol.
