stuffed ecu?

Post by 2inil8 »

Hi guys got a 5L MAN ecu 16206305 my prob is no matter what i change
it wont go any better and generally wont go some tunes wont even work.
had alot of trouble data logging too.would you say this ecu is stuffed?
it does work but has problems and has since i bought it.
plug in a vn 808 ecu runs fine.its in a vp v8,ive patched in a vr/vs
aldl plug which works.might be time to build a realtime ecu?

ok tried vr manual tune just a stock tune
it is a stock 304 with bolt ons and ls1 injectors
all i did was change the injector rate.it just wont go
i can data log but on this tune it wont work, tried a hsv 185 tune and it worked
i think i tried a few adx files to see what works.
'had it setup on a vr man v8 ute worked fine.
the main thing if i change ve's dosent matter what tune i got
even the 12p its like nothing changes wont go lean wont go rich.
using a moates ostrich 2.0 to emulate ,tuner pro 5 etc.
thing is i can make changes no probs on the 808 ecu although
i cant aqquire data being 160 baud.
I had the same prob when it was in my cammed vn ss.
put an 808 and tuned with an innovate wide band no probs.

i'd be sticking with the 808 and mod it to suit your needs!
