How Close is $5A to $5B?

As the topic reads, how close are the 2 prog's?

It's strange the effort has been put into the $5B xdf but there's more $5A actual program bins?

does anyone have a list of where the offsets my be off?

Well $5A is $12 with VS VATS, and theres OSE12P for those with a flag to enable VS VATS.

SO is there a base tune out for $12p in the likes of BLJX, BMZL or BWFW or is there anything that needs to be done to the bin files to edit them with $12p?

or opening them straight up with the latest v110 xdf & editing will work?

Use the 12P BLCF bin and select VS anti-theft and you have pretty much got a VS V8 manual bin. HSV will need to transfer over tables and changes, but you cannot open a standard bin using the 12P XDF will need to use the correct XDF for the particular bin.

Sorry I didn't see the $12p BLCF bin in the ose bin repository, unless it's with the custom code section?

2 other questions completely not relating to the topic now but rather than starting another thread!

What is the easiest way to make that $12p V8 bin converted to an automatic VS, just for other to know too as I'm sure at least 1 person out there needs to know(JCA)? This looks to be the best way to go!

ON another even less related topic, how about we make the VY PCM thread a sticky? as I think it's a fairly important thread! may need to be trimmed a bit somehow though?

Start with the VS V8 RT bin here .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=613. 12P will not run a VR or VS auto unless its been converted to a non-electronic auto and also an 808 or VR/VS manual ECM.

Yeah I think I will add info from that topic to the flashtool thread that relates to VX and VY flashing. Does have some useful info.

in my mates VS 5L I used the vr bin BMZC_mod, that way I was able to use VL400's fully defined xdf from here: https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=634 the VR bin seeemed to be able to work everythign bar the anti theft.

I do actually remember reading all that now, just trying to take too much in at once & too many things on the go!
