The box is asking for the checksum not the program ID, AA is the program ID. If you change the program ID to AA in TP, when it asks you to fix the checksum say no. You will have to powercycle the PCM after that though. The PCM will operate like normal and you wont get a CEL.

Re: VX VY PCM bin swapping = brick ahhhh :(
another brick
i tried doing a full clone of the pcm out of the car and it came up with an error at the end but pulled fuse and repowered up fine buy still had old bcc and vin on it so i dont know what changed??
then tried to drop the origional cal file back on and it came up with cal error and couldnt do that??
tried to mod the origional bin and driop it in but when it came to checksum bit i chose the modified checksum then it came up with error and the damaged pcm message and to retry clicked no not to retry pcm locked then repowered it and up again
did the same again but after the checksum screen when it asked to retry clicked yes and another brick
how much do u charge to socket a pcm or 3???

Have you got erase before write selected? It must be ticked, un-ticked and you will be corrupting it.
Post up a the log of whats happening if you can.
