Is there anyway to manually check the check sum is right on a $51H bin?
I have just written one & was told it came up error code 52, I checked to make sure the memcal was blank before writing, didn't check manually after if it was right, but the gQ4x said it checked against the bin & was sweet!
So the only thing I'm thinking maybe when I modified the bin tuner pro didn't automatically adjust the check sum properly?
it was a modified CKUM bin!

TP can handle it but will need to be setup in the XDF to checksum 2008-1FFFF. Or just use AA as the program ID.
That is providing its a code 51 (memcal fault), if its code 52 then you have an alternator problem (system over voltage).

Re: $51H Memcal error code 52
yeah I was pretty sure memcal was code 51, but the person who fit it told me it was code 52!
I'll have to check on both, I haven't actually set the prog id as AA & then mask vats as I like to leave it as stock(normal) as I can & if the original pcm is in it then all should be fine(unless check sum is wrong!).
