still having issues getting dps type 4 to work, tried to install sps techline and it goes all the way windows 7 x64 will last mdi2

then fails installing

Looks like you also need dllsecurity.dll copied over for the type 4 to work.

I’ve tried that still doesn’t work? I think you also need a fresh sps install with valid license, for dps.

Sps no longer supports dps older than 4.46, now I have 4.52.1000

But it still doesn’t say type4? Maybe the prob is partly the windows 7 , but it’s so much nicer than windows 10.

I didn't know sps had to support DPS? that's got me confused.. I am running the older 4.46 at the house and I have those 2 files in the DPS folder here, I'll have to check on my other computers how it's done and where the files are located.

Thank you, I'm not a service tech, I've never used sps, tech2 or any those manufacture apps ...
I know, I should setup a session and educate, I have no excuse for not doing so other then lack of modules.

I’ve tried that, also pasted them into the systemnow64 and system 32 folders as well.

Also copied and pasted the entire folders under programs x86 for gm and Bosch, also app data folder, and users/public , user/sps

And compared registery files, than removed dps and coppied that entire folder of as well from the working windows 10 desktop!

At this point I ran sps and techline launches and gets stuck in a loop of crashing auto relaunching, every three or so times it actually works long enough to connect to vehicle get vin lock and click program, then it crashes.

Yet still no type 4 button!!


Then I did a fresh virtual x64 windows 10 installed dps 4.46, and downloaded sps, but for some reason I can’t get the mongoose pro to be recognized in that virtual box something had changed in the newest drew tech drivers. And I can’t find the installer for the older x64 ones. Either tech2win or the j2534 drewtech drivers are messed up wit the latest version.

So I can’t connect and download a type for file. Not sure when sps adds the type 4 intergration?

So that’s to bad!!

I disassembled 4.46 and it’s using

%USERROOT% \\sps\\nativelibs\\

As the working directory for type 4, maybe it uses more? But at best it definitely uses that one!

I thought maybe it somehow gets confused which is root so I put a sps\nativelibs\ in all my user profiles no dice either

Ok Im going to have to end this discussion. We dont support cracks or anything like that. You can continue to discuss original software development but any more DPS and the thread gets locked.
