ok i got the car back today and heres the correct codes my mechanic reckons it could be crank angle sensor now

If the car actually stops and wont restart until its cooled down then it is quite possibily crank angle sensor ,but if the car starts for a moment and then stops (when ecu takes control of timing )then it could be the ecm.You need to put a led test light on the cas output when the problem occurs and check for on off pulse.

yea man itll hunt for idle then stall.. sometimes i cant start it straight away and hold my foot on accelorator and itll hole idle round 1500rpm. sometimes itll take a bit to start. but ill chat that stuff tomorrow let you know how i go

Sounds to me like a dodgy ecm.If the crank angle sensor shits itself it just wont start at all .

i think i have a spare one here too. ill give that a run today and see if anything changes.

i swapped it and no error codes...

i have 3 memcals here as well how would i know what is what lol

Good to hear.
If the memcals have a little silver sticker on them post up the numbers ,otherwise youll need to read them with a burner.

one has a silver sticker and looks pretty standard which im guessing is....

one has no writing but on the chip it has a fueltronic logo.

and the 3rd one which i have in has a piece of paper in it that says sv50.... a few other numbers.

anyone on the gold coast have one of these burners?
