It unlocks just fine, seed is 0000, says it doesn't need to unlock, then reports it unlocks, it then fails (7F) on the Mode34 for the Loader. -Enjoy

OK, It looks lke this needs to be removed. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8008&start=180#p124663 Then key of 0000 or FFFF should be tried.

I believe that is required in the app for recovery flashes to work, though, so we shouldnt remove it from the public version without re-visiting unlock in general and a code tidyup and testing these scenareos.

It sounds like you both already know that it didn't work, but here's my debug log from back to back attempted reads with the key set to 0000 and then FFFF.

@gampy, can you try key 0000 in that build?

I just woke, had that thought, did it, came to announce, saw your request to do so ... Success!
PCM Recovered!

zack4200,

I'll send you a build that might recover that PCM for you, but you don't want to use it for anything else except to recover from that exact situation PERIOD!

Most excellent. I had a feeling it was seed + key 0000. There must be some code in the factory OS that implements FFFF = 0000. Maybe they know FFFF is a blank prom but wanted 0000 to signal unlocked because the suits in the office were confused by FFFF.... And that code does it to both seed and key. I can't see any other reason we'd get this seed and key, but its proven.

Saw this in the log from Zack's P04 read.
[07:52:21:263] Read-request messages had to be re-sent 4 times.

Is this a bench setup? If it is, I'd bet that read could fail in car like mine does.
