Re: VN Commodore ECU update
the best way to log is just select sensor data and flags and DTC's dont worry about RAW .the est should really be on all the time if its warmed up and all conditions are meet.post up a log you will need to zip it to post it up.i normally veiw with notepad as i dont have a spreadsheet right now i was using microsoft works it works well you can just right click the log and select open with and open it with spreasheet then you can cut any colomns you dont want and make cool graphs etc from the data.jayme is the pro when it comes to spreadsheeting ALDL logs.

Re: VN Commodore ECU update
For those interested, here is another winaldl log file for the sv3800 bin. comments would be appreciated, particularly why EST mode seems so erratic and some other odd parameter readings. how quickly should the O2, BLM & INT cells be filled. journey distance was approx 20km. do the numerous data holes indicate a problem with the aldl interface or perhaps a faulty ecu. the ecu is a spare off e-bay and although the car appears to run well, the ecu is an unknown. purely subjective assessment, but would appear the car accelerates smoother. more miles need before I would comment further.
Have had once instance where COM port on laptop latched-up and no data recorded. restarting laptop cleared it, anyone had similar problems.

theres only 190 seconds in that log not very long at all.i had a quick check over it while i had time been busy.i noticed in the first log that the map wasnt very high when the key was on engine not running are you at altitude where you are im normally over 100kpa you are 94.6 which is the lowest ive ever seen.just slightly lean as you can see from the limited BLM's and O2 do a nice half hour log and make sure you save the o2 and blm tables seperatly in the O2 and blm windows of twinaldl before you close the program this will save 2 nice tables that match your VE table in tunerpro so you can work out what cells need more or less VE and it gives you the multiplier needed to enter in tunerpros toolbox to auto correct the VE.

Re: VN Commodore ECU update
reside in blue mountains nsw, altitude 650 metres. should be able to do 2 x 45 min runs tomorrow. have saved BLM, O2 & INT logs from winaldl but only short run and very few entries. learning how to use winaldl so data collection likely to be patchy to begin with. could you elaborate on saving BLM & O2 data in windows of tunerpro, winaldl O2 & BLM windows in aldl is the limit of my present understanding.

Re: VN Commodore ECU update
haha i meant winaldl sorry mate LOL my mind was elsewhere.in the end you will get good at driving the car into the BLM cells to fill them as required.normal driving will get the ones you use most days.you will see a deffinite path accross the table. easing on the gas slowly keeping it in 30 kpa you should be able to get a fair way up the revs.do that in 30 and in 40kpa those will be the normal cruise areas where you will spend most of your time when cruising at 100kmh and 50kmh.if you get 30 40 and 50 good it saves a lot of fuel.anywhere that isnt set to 14.7 in the fuel ratio table will automatically show 128 in the blms too.o2 volts at full throttle if you have a new sensor its all good i aim for 890mv-900mv

Re: VN Commodore ECU update
no problem, see what I can mange tomorrow. any idea why EST mode & trans over temp and other odd flags should be present if ecu & bin are ok.

Re: VN Commodore ECU update
this winaldl data logging is raising more questions than answers. raw mph values equals sensor speed values, is this correct. EST mode appears to be all over the place. trans over temp flag is always ticked. TPS has -ve % as min ie idle. park/neutral flag set when vehicle in drive. can see no correlation between O2 readings and closed loop.
am I reading the data incorrectly, is the ecu faulty or does the slow data rate of the 808 mean data, with exception of BLM, INT & O2, cannot be interpretted as real time, only the trend. today's log file attached. winaldl config is set for 808 and have not changed default values eg TPS min for 0% is 0.54 volts. not yet checked to see if this is spec and whether my vehicle matches.

Re: VN Commodore ECU update
dont worry about it showing less than 0tps they all do that to a point depending on how the throttleblades are adjusted.the ecu still sees it as at 0% .its is slow data and wont keep up with the rate of acceleration in realtime etc you will allways loose some data due to it being slow about to look at the log now.

Re: VN Commodore ECU update
seems to be generally lean in the tune meaning not enough ne but to be out that far it could probably do with a fuel filter or injectors or pump or regulator.it could even be due to the low battery voltage its showing too should be over 13 volts ide say you might not be charging properly should be up round 13.7 volts maybe you regulator on the alternator is dying or something. what transistor did you use to make your aldl cable 2n2222a.it looks to be working like it should though.as for the flags you could have wiring issues if the park neutral flag doesnt change when you move the gear lever or maybe the inputs on the ecu are no good
