Hey everyone.
I’m a bit stuck and would really appreciate some help/suggestions.
I’ve got an 808 running an injected vn 355 Holden.
I fitted the NVRAM and usb comms and all was communicating until I tried to write a new bin.
Didn’t work, which I understand is common to fail when writing through the pcm.
The bridging wire on the back of the ecu came off, my bad. I refitted it, Now I have no communication with the NVRAM. Tunerpro wont recognise the hardware.
I fitted a new NVRAM chip, broke a pin on the original with my fat fingers, with a fresh 12p download but still nothing. Re soldered everything again.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Jake.

Did you put the stacked version of the bin on the nvram chip in a programmer? That one that is 128Kb in size? That has some padding in it to line up the code with the right areas of the chip. If you put the 12p bin directly on, it wont line up right and wont work.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

I reckon this must have been where I was going wrong. I will be firing the Dodge ute up again soon after sitting so long for panel and paint and need to get this sorted out.antus wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 4:05 pm Did you put the stacked version of the bin on the nvram chip in a programmer?
