I dont think many people can be bothered messing around with soldering iron and clippers and erasers and programmers these days, but you can usually get a v6 memcal and cut a pin on the netres chip (see viewtopic.php?f=11&t=214&hilit=netres&start=10#p6850 to see which pin is connected for V6 but not V8). And you can put the OSE11P V8 bin file on the memcal chip. That will get you running. Technically you wont get the right backup resistor config, which is used to deliver some fuel so the car can run, even if very badly, in a fail to boot situation, but when its running fine it makes no difference. It also has the V6 knock filter, so make sure knock remains disabled as it normally is as the sensor isnt on the car, and then the knock filter wont be used. That gives you the information you need, but you still need either the skills and tools to do it, or someone willing to do it for you.
