T93 TCM insides

Post by gmtech825 »

Curiosity got the best of me today so I popped off the cover from one of the t93 TCMs I have laying around. I thought maybe some here would be interested as well.

This is a long shot, but I've seen a few utility files and binaries that have a short ASCII string that identifies the CPU or at least the flash memory type.

As much as it scars my soul to post anything from TikTok, this says it's an SPC5888.

Good find, now that you've posted that I searched SPC5888 T93 and there are enough hits that it seems likely.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

yeah looks to be the case. I wasn't able to find a reference manual for the spc5888 but the SPC58 C Line manual seems to match up to the addressing well.

I did some checking myself. "5888" doesn't seem to be a thing. But I can't find anything else that's even close. They don't list a bare die package in the catalog at all. It's probably some custom order bullshit.

The closest manual I see that matches the memory layout is the SPC58 E/G Line
