T43 A2L Bin Alignment

Post by 4wheelinls1 »

Hi,

I have an A2l but it does not match the BIN I am having issues with. Conversion cars with pre 2009 TCM have closed throttle downshift and closed throttle power downshift and its a pain. The shift drops from 6-5 and 5-4 on very light throttle outside the tables in HP. I have custom parameters but have had no success with solving the issue. Some of the tables I would test seem to fall outside HP's allowed addresses. The A2L I have is for 24237276, the vehicles with the issues are 24243170. Some of the A2l aligns but the only maps that have inspired me are 9x9 relating to closed throttle, but I can't align them.

Would anyone have the A2L for 24243170?

24243170 os is from 2007
24237276 os is from 2005

2year difference, lots of new stuff may be added since 2005 should be the first release.

Do you have example bins of the 2 OS.

Yes, I have multiple and an XDF which is too large to attach.

Mine says the 170 is 2008 Commodore. I have tried a few OS but am limited to pre 2010
The HPT cal is the one in the car, I got the 2009 from here.

My other thought was to try putting the OS I have the A2L for into the car to test.

You can zip an xdf and it should be attachable.

Bin alignment is something I've always struggled with too. The obvious is to line up the start of each segment but the rabbit hole gets big pretty quick from there. Keeping an eye on this thread for any tips

This is where software such as winOLS help out with matching up segments, or at least helping to identify them.

closed throttle downshifts is more to do with throttle rev matching. should have nothing to do with shift speeds.

You might need to calculate your rolling tyre size/axle/diff ratio. I've come across this myself with cars shifting outside of what is in the tune. Always fixed by actually confirming diff ratio etc.

The pre 2010's cals were always the worst. You can have speedo spot on but shift settings dont line up.
