Intercooler Pump - PWM Control?

Post by PHLTHS »

Hi All,

Just wanted to ask if anyone has managed to use one of the Holden ALDL PCM's from the V6 S/C L67 to control an Intercooler Pump using PWM?

I'm looking at using a Pierburg CWA400, which has PWM capabilities (50 Hz -1000 Hz) and does need an uninterrupted high pulse of 3ms must be applied in order to wake it. (For example: 50% duty at 150 Hz)

I was thinking of repurposing the Boost Control Solenoid or the Canister Purge strategies to try and control it as both these use PWM?

Ideally, the PWM would need to be adjustable vs IAT, so the Pump speed can increase as the IAT's increase etc.

Any bright ideas if this is possible?
