Ford IDS Testman Runtime System has stopped working
Ford IDS Testman Runtime System has stopped working
Hello everyone, I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with the IDS version 130.08 while attempting to locate an ECM. I keep encountering the error message "Testman Runtime System has stopped working." Although the IDS application continues to run, the screen remains blank, and I ultimately have to terminate it via Task Manager. My system is operating on Windows SP2, and I am using a genuine VCM II, which is updated and communicates properly with the VCI Manager. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue by uninstalling the software using Revo and running the cleanupids application before reinstalling, the problem persists. I also redownloaded the IDS installation and update files directly from Ford's website. Interestingly, most online discussions regarding this error seem to pertain to the use of IDS clones or VXDiag interfaces. Additionally, the Windows error log indicates a problem with ntdll.dll whenever testman.exe crashes. I have attempted to replace ntdll.dll with a downloaded version but have been unable to do so because it is in use by a running application. Has anyone else encountered this issue, and if so, could you share any potential solutions?

its happened to me a bit. uninstalling vci manager and reinstall usually fixes it.
