JE Camira loom for V8 Is it possible?

Post by heff0018 »

Hi all, I have a Chrysler 5.9 Magnum (360 roller cam motor) engine which I am slowly building up with a decent cam and M1 single plane efi manifold. Would it be possible to add 4 injector plugs to a JE Camira loom as I have a spare. As I am sure you are aware VN V8 looms are near impossible to find. As an alternative I was thinking that there are probably plenty of V8 Chev 808 looms in the US that could be sourced. Cheers

Yes you can do that. Note the N13 Pulsar is also an option, which tends to be more common than the JE Camira. In all models D15 and D16 are for the injectors. According to the wiring information I am looking at for N13 those to pins are connected together. Looking at the VN they are two wires to the injectors. So when you add the extra injectors I'd recommend using the VN wiring to make sure there is enough wire present for the extra current. But the loom is good for the application yes.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

Thanks Antus, I was thinking that I would add the wiring as far back to the source as possible because of the extra current draw.
