Help needed with Comms board & nvram

That is the 808, so it is 12P.

I've never seen the error "bus congestion, could not get a free slot" but I think it does show there is a problem with your connection to the ECM. It reads like its receiving junk constantly.

If you key on, do you see a blue light on the nvram? If you key off, does it do immediately off, or go off after a couple of seconds?

Next up I think we'll need to more closely check the install of the ecm comms board. It might be wrong or short circuited to the case of the ECM.

Blue light goes out as soon as i key off.

The wiring looks good. Light going out straight away means the 12P software is corrupted and not running the ECM. You need to use a programmer to put the stacked 12P bin file on the nvram chip directly to get the computer running first, then you should be able to talk to it over USB.

No adaptor needed.

Be careful removing the NVRAM IC from the socket. It is very very easy to bend up all the pins.
Pry it up gently and slowly and evenly from both ends

I use a butter knife and level up each end a little at a time. Avoid the temptation to tension your hand or arm up or twist the knife or tool you are using, pent up tension in your hand/arm will flick the chip up as soon as one end lets go, that will then mess the remaining pins still in there as the chip flick up and over. I just make sure I pry in a way that my hand and arm are not going to keep moving as soon as resistance drops as the chip comes free.

yep that last pin is easy to bend, it'll start letting go before its free and like they saying its easy to do damage at that point. also when putting it back in, sometimes one of the pins will catch on the top of the carrier and then bend in the middle when you press it down. You need to make sure that all the pins are in the sockets properly and starting to insert cleanly before pushing it all the way in.
