Mother of all 7603 XDF files
Re: Mother of all 7603 XDF files
Most people would just log fuel trims and adjust based on that.
There's some extremely small technical difference with O2 sensor delay so the closed loop corrections are as precise as possible. You can adjust that.
Anybody want to chime in on knock sensor stuff with headers? I've only heard of rumors with that. Eh, if you suspect false knock, change the timing, if it doesn't go away when it should... false knock reading. You can do tedious tuning to "desensitize" knock readings.
None of that is based on 1st hand experience, just hours of combing the calibration options and careful forum reading.

Don't stress specific units.

Open Tunerpro and load the 7603 XDF.V8fan wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 5:10 amNever done it before
Is there any tutorial ?
HP tuners plays with me
Now I only changes gears speed and 3sec torque reduction returns back out of blue (I didnt change any parameter related to engine or tranny torque)
HPT changing something but not shows it in available to redacting area
Looks like I will be forced to use UP nevertheless I hate imperial and don't know how to switch units to metric![]()
Open a new instance of Tunerpro and start a new XDF.
Copy and paste the parameters you want to edit in HPT with user defined parameters.
Save the new XDF.
Load new XDF in HPT.
Re: Mother of all 7603 XDF files
Thanks man -will do
this HPT killed me without a knife
Loaded stock and ported only speed maps for tranny - fckng retarded delay went back !
I used UP to build XDF but HPT not liked it either )

To set up metric goto->Settings->more settings->select units to display.
If there is no conversions set it will show what is in definition file only.

Can't open second TunerPro -windows warn me that it already worked
Just deleted all unnecessary and saved new

Thanks man !
Firstly it warn me error but I found solution and now it works
Make needed parameters and finally HPT receive file without errors

how can conversions be set up? I'm mainly trying to change °C to °F. also I'm mostly working with P04 bins, if that has any effect on where the conversions need to be set up.

I once wrote a python script to do this. It involves changing equasions. The XDF is XML so you need to write some kind of loop / pattern match to find the equasions that are in C and modify the description, headers, and equasion to adapt it to F. Its tedious to get right, but should be doable by someone with mediam level skills.
