yeah. our early pre 2006 cars used single wire uart comms between abs,bcm,dash cluster so there was a pim module to translate between vpw and uart comms.

in 2006 a new pim was introduced to do CAN 2 uart comms, but the early can used different can id's to what the later ecu/tcm os calibrations used in the full blown CAN comms vehicles. luckily all the settings are still there and just need to be turned back on to transmit or listen.

Cool.
Can the PIM send AC on/of based on state of one of it's inputs simply being high or low?
Don't stress specific units.

if you could reprogram it, I'm sure it would be possible as it does have inputs.
