That is a good chart.

I prefer twin exhaust systems where possible.

It's a shame muffler manufacturers don't post flow numbers for ....mufflers.

If they are straight through perf wool packed ones, they should be the same as the exhaust pipe diameter flow like in the chart.

But chambered mufflers, yeah that's different and would obviously be less.

Speaking of mufflers. I found these that go to 3.5" which is ideal for a lot of more substantial builds. I'd love to know what they sound like though.

Even though it's listed VK/VL, it would be the same for any first or second gen commodore. The sizes they list are correct for any of these commodores which I might add are hard to find in that size for mufflers of this in/out diameters. Nearly all of the universal mufflers don't fit in those larger pipe diameters I found.

I did consider the rear wheel tubs. There is a decent kit which I think is either 2.0 mm steel or better. Anything would be better than the factory tub which is only 1.0 mm which get easy dented in the back of a ute.
I think the cost was OK, but wouldn't have the confidence to install them myself.

Easiest way would be to cut section between wheel tub & chassis rail then dolly or belt wheel tub in to chassis rail lip think gain 30 or 40mm cant remember.

Mine is split tubbed,vl wagon diff 15x7 53p chaser 255/60/15 also removed ute bumpstop brackets so can sit even lower when put sedan/wagon bumpstop in rail...slot is underneath ute bumpstop bracket.

This one is factory stock and the stock 205.

Normal height.

Fully travel, pretty close to the inner arch, but the outer is ample.

The current shitbox with 215s with the same offset as the HSV wheels common at the time, +37

about 7mm outer and can rub on the inner on hard corners when the axle angles get steep.

225 rubbed both inside and out.

The VP S with walkies. 215 and the same +37 offset.

But this tyre was half down so the axle was on a slight angle, that was enough to have an apparent zero clearance, but in reality, it would possibly rub when this angle is maintained under compression. ie.. cornering into a dip or cornering under a heavy rear load. Since the shitbox rarely does it now with 215 but has occasional evidence of tiny amounts of rub (silent), 205 should make it impossible, but it still looks tight either way.
