Make sure the balancer hasn't torn the rubber and spun making the timing mark out of place.start the car bridge the diagnostic plug pins for locked timing and use ti.ing light to get dizzy to 10 degrees .every mark on the pulley on the A side is 2 degrees advanced.it will only lock the timing upto 2000rpm so keep rpm under 2000 while setting

I’m pretty sure balancer balancer is ok was a running engine and I verified the mark to tdc when I had the heads off. It isn’t running yet since top swap that’s where the issue is lol

Hold on a sec. Did you fit the 304 camshaft? You're not still running the 253 cam are you?

Just confirming you were on Cyl #1 TDC when you installed the distributer ie Cyl #4 valves should be rocking
If so it should be close enough to fire at least.

You didn't set the cam dot to dot by any chance.the dots go 9 links apart the chain normally has 2 different coloured lnks for the timing marks

Both. The dots are 9 links apart counted them. Anyway update moved the battery from the boot to the engine bay and it starts on aerostart now! Seems I have injector pulse but no fuel so I’m gonna to get a new gauge cause this one was a cheap on and I don’t trust it then start working on the fuel system hopefully it’s just adjusting the reg. Definitely fuel getting to the motor.
