Bricked VY pcm

I tried to write enhanced rom bin to a vy eco ecu and at the end of the write it said it had a checksum issue, i left the checksum how it was and then it suggested to write the bin again otherwise it could brick the ecu, so after the second write it has basically bricked the ecu.

Pretty sure i did have the checksum option ticked in in the settings, this is the file that i put in it, its a vy eco with a raptor supercharger on it.

Is there anyway to get the ecu back alive? if not, how do i prevent this from happening on another computer? I have disconnected the battery for a minute and tried to connect again but nobody is home, its gone.

have i done anything wrong for this to happen? if so what do i need to do differently? are we able to remove the flash chip from the board and flash it somehow? or even run a converter so we can emulate the chip on the fly like the 27c?

Is the file you tried to write complete? Or is it missing sections?

Another 2nd hand PCM will be the easiest option

From a quick scan by eye in a hex editor it looks like its got calibration and operating system. You do need to write twice and allow it to fix checksums because the checksum includes data in the eeprom in the PCM and that data is not available on the PC, so the PC cant calculate it correctly beforehand.

Sometimes those PCMs crash and need a full power cycle to come back to life. If you only did an ignition cycle you might find unplugging it or cutting the power for 30 seconds gets it talking again.

Did you change the operating system from factory to enhanced? Did you do a fill bin write the first time?

If you did all that and it did the second write it should be correct and OK.

Cant flash L67 memcal tunes onto flash based ecu's.

Or 11P tunes for a '424 (was asked about this in private). All bins are only compatible with the PCMs they were intended for.

i thought that because it was the enhanced rom it was a supercharger tune for the eco flash ecu?

so ive basically flashed a memcal l67 tune into the flash ecu which is why its bricked?

i removed the flash chip thats busted from that ecu and i am going to get the emulator working on it, if not i bought a adapter to flash the bin back onto it.

got a few spare computers, got holden ecus oozing out my asshole atm

with careful soldering you should be able to get that going at least with the socket. emulator is harder. and the1s enhanced for flash pcm will add some features and allow boost.
