Because I'm older than most of you, I found this very funny.

I reckon that is actually pretty spot on! So much AI content causing problems now. Recent example: https://youtu.be/jDimK-89rfw

Re: AI Mad Cow Disease
I'm seeing more and more responses on forums where users are using AI when they don't know the answer.
Re: AI Mad Cow Disease
Heard a tale on the radio the other day, about a deaf woman in the US. She was apparently very good at her job, and was encouraged to apply for a promotion. She was interviewed by AI, and was unsuccessful. She was given feedback that she needed to improve her listening skills.

Ha! this is pretty accurate, even down to the netscape navigator in the comic
Yeah the only thing AI seems to be great at these days is the meme videos they are making. Some of them, especially current affairs like those about people in politics are absolute gold!
Some of the search engine AI summaries are good too if you have a critical eye for misinterpretation which is the biggest flaw currently of the AI in search, but the AI is able to restore the search engines back to now they were 15-20 years ago where you could actually find stuff and not be hit dead ends straight away like with the current classical search engines. The nice thing is that the AI summery gives you all the sources and has info highlighted with the webpage it got it from, so you can do your own checking and further digging, but often enough I find the AI misinterpreted the info on the sites, so it's not perfect Still a massive improvement back to when search engines worked in the old days.
Where I find AI is the worst is in mathematics, I know I suck at it, but AI is even worse at it than I am. It completely botches freedom/metric conversions, sometimes by factors of magnitudes!
But the maths problems is expected since AI is based on the same underlying topological model of the brain, aka neural networks which even our brains don't have dedicated ALUs. We use reasoning to do maths, AI as I understand does the same, so it's not calculating in the same fundamental way as a calculator does, as far from the same way as one could imagine. So it is subject to the same flaws as out brains when it comes to maths, but a lot lot worse as AI is no where near the same level of our brains.
I'll stick to the windows cal app for now.

I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
Re: AI Mad Cow Disease
I see AI as the complete opposite end of the "natural stupidity" scale of life, and equally as dangerous.
