VT Seats and SRS computer question

Hi Guy's it's been a while I have a question, if I swap the seats in my VT to ones with no air bag the airbag light will come on its common, can I change the SRS computer from the car the replacement seat are from, will that work to fix the SRS light as it matches the seats?

Someone must have tried it before?

iirc that data is stored in the cluster, you can choose how many "loops" the SRS system has when configuring the cluster.

Even if you swap the SRS module the warning light will still be on if you don't reconfigure the cluster.

Hi Gareth, I'm not sure how to reconfigure the cluster. I do have a tech 2 and an ALDL cable and PC that can talk to the car, any advice on how to do this?

Picked up 2 x VX seats with airbags to fix it for $100. Cleared codes done, is it easier to put srs bag in none srs seat or swap seat skins? seat not matching now!
