yeah i think you'll find if the turbo is too small it will boost early and die in the top end ..... thats probably fine for a stump puller though :P

at the end of the day you wont really know till you get it tuned and see what it does, can always go bigger turbo later if needs be.

Thanks TTVN,

I might just do that.

I will grab some bigger injectors, try to organise a cooler and maybe try to setup another radiator under the tray to get some more cooling first. I have trouble keeping radiator cool. It's a standard hilux diesel rad with steel fan and 2 thermos in front.

I'll get it all ready and might bring it over.
how long does it normally take for a job like this. would i have to leave it there for a few days or is it just like a 2 day job?

Cheers.

nothing ever goes to plan so its more than likely a couple of days messing around and theres the cold start to setup as well

is probably best to plan to drop it one weekend and pickup the next it allows time to fix bugs in the combo

let me know if thats the way you want to go

cooling is pretty important as if it gets warm u lose the knock resistance

what fuel pumps etc are you running? and u do have the 2 bar map sensor?

cheers Rod

Yeah Rod,

2 bar map, turbo 700 trans with standard stall and temp gauge, external oil cooler.

I'll make sure everything is ready before bringing it.
I am fairly confident of getting things close from 20-100kpa now that I have an understanding of the ve tables.
Getting the spark right might be out of my reach without some sort of knock sensing and without the dyno i'd have a hard time finding Max torque before the knock.

Might take a while to get everything organised, I'll give you a holler when it's ready.

Thanks,

Anthony
