so i believe to make a V6 chip into a V8 one just cut the leg on the 15k resistor part of the IC....

just so you know, the one furthest away from the eprom is the one you need to modify.

Also know that the Knock filters are physically tuned for the engine, so if you convert a v6 to a v8 memcal, then you might as well cut the knock filter board off as well as it wont work on the v8, even if you were to attach the knock sensor and turn it on in the tune.
